Unity Programmer Wanted
6 month contract, competitive salary, full-time position available
We are Civil Aviation Training GmbH, one of the premier suppliers of distance learning courseware for aspiring pilots in Europe. We’re currently looking to supplement and modernize our current educational software and material through the development of an in-house software solution for our students.
The Company: At CAT Europe we are focused on enabling every one of our flight students to maximize their aviation education and quickly transition into the commercial airline job market. We have built our reputation on caring about the individual and valuing student feedback.
The Position: We are looking for a Unity Programmer to help us realize our new software learning solution. For the initial contract period the position would be remote, with weekly conference calls between all members of the project. The position would commence as soon as the initial contract is in place.
- We offer at least 6 months of steady employment.
- If work on the project pans out, we would like to convert the contract into a full-time position, either in the UK or in Germany, if desired.
The Project: Even though we are working with Unity and the project contains many elements of gamification, we are not developing a game or a flight simulator, but an interactive mentoring tool, mainly operating in 2D with select 3D elements.
The Pay: The pay range we’re offering is £27.000 to £48.000 p.A., the final offer will be based on your prior industry experience.
Requirements:
- 1+ year(s) of industry experience with Unity and C#
- Solid understanding of or prior experience with source control (preferably Perforce)
- Enthusiasm, creativity, initiative, and good organizational skills
- The ability to manage your own workload while contributing to a team
- Comfortable working within menu-based 2D environments
Responsibilities:
- Developing intuitive front-end functionality that can adapt to platform specific input methods and different screen-sizes
- Working closely with our Technical Lead to integrate these systems into our backend
- Managing your own workload between weekly conference calls

- You’re looking for a high paying contract from a remote location
- You’re interested in the option of full-time employment
- You want to bolster your CV with work on a serious project in the aviation industry
